Liga MB top team -Metapan (20-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed tenth ranked Santiagueno (4-16) in Usultan 113-66 . Metapan dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Santiagueno 's 52. Metapan forced 22 Santiagueno turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 40 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Santiagueno 's players. It was a quality performance for Josue Avila who led the winners and scored 23 points and 5 rebounds. Alejandro Barahona accounted for 14 points, 7 rebounds, 10 assists and 6 steals for the winning side. Five Metapan players scored in double figures. Metapan's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Colombian center John Hernandez (207-1984) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 16 rebounds and Kevin Lovos added 23 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Santiagueno in the defeat.
